My sister sent me a text message during my lunch break telling me that she's at grand Men Seng Hotel having a seminar. We agreed to meet at five after my work. Me and hubby went there and we exchange news updates again of our respective lives since I miss her as well. The last time we saw each other was when she was having also a seminar at Marco Polo hotel. She invited us for a dinner but we refused because we were still full from our snacks. I ate rice with pork afritada and fish pinangat courtesy of my office mate Ate Caring in my afternoon snack. My snack was as heavy as my lunch so I refused.

I love the ambiance of Grand Men Seng Hotel. When me and hubby were still dating, we would go the hotel's pool side ihaw-ihaw restaurant and would have dinner there. Yes, those were the days when we live not on a budget, when we where yet free from house amortization bills and infant formula budget.LOLz.

Meeting my sister at Marco Polo Hotel

Me and my sister

My sister Jealyne who is a nurse in a government hospital attended a seminar on rabies at Marco Polo Hotel Davao. Since we live far from each other, we need to have a lot of catching up to do. We agreed to meet at her room and had our chit chatting there. After updating each other with our respective lives, we then had a stroll around the hotel. Thanks to hubby who was our photographer:). I'm not gonna talk much about my sister here nor about the seminar because I'm not the one attending it, but I'm gonna talk about Marco Polo hotel since this is a travel blog.

Brokenshire Resort and Convention Center

I attended a seminar workshop and the communication letter says it will be held at Brokenshire Resort and Convention Center. Though, Brokenshire is just my "neighbor", I've really not explored the latest developments in the place. I've been to their hospital and school but never been to their resort and convention center. I rode a taxi when I went there and dropped at the school thinking that the convention center is within the school premises. But when I asked the guard, he pointed me to the exit direction and so I have to walk several meters from the school. When I arrived, I was wowed by the place. It's beautiful! Here are some photos:

My boss ask me to accompany her to GS Mall to buy some Christmas decorations. But before going to the mall, she remembered that the seminar that we are hosting is fast approaching. Many participants from different parts of the Philippines are joining the seminar and she received a lot of queries regarding hotels, inns where they can stay.
