1st Asian Bird Fair Davao

The 1st Asian Bird Fair was held at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao at September 24-25, 2010. Me and Hubby was excited to go there, since it's just near to where we are staying. Hubby wants to see some rare birds in the fair. Upon our arrival, we saw first some nice photo exhibit of birds here are some of them.

Inside the hotel there was more activities, there was a show for kids. Hubby started to roam around to look for birds but, came back a little disappointed since, there was only a few birds during the fair, and all of it he saw already. Here are some of the birds displayed during the fair.

Though hubby was disappointed of not having to see more rare birds, for me it was still a nice event, since the entrance was free heheheheh.

Looking Forward for the Kadayawan Festival

The month of August is one of the most awaited months for Davaoeños. It is the month for the Kadayawan festival- a celebration for the blessings and good harvest.

The weeklong Kadayawan festival celebration will be on the 16th-21st of August. There will be trade fairs and expo that will happen within the Kadayawan week. Shoppers and mall goers will delight the lots of items that will be on sale. It will be highlighted by the Indak-indak sa Kadalanan (Street dancing) and flower parade.

Motor Week at Gaisano Mall Davao

Its my first time to do a guest post, and I'm glad to do it here in Davao Delights. I had no work on Monday so me, my wife and Keona went to the mall so I can have my hair cut. When we arrive at the mall I notice plenty of people gathering at the atrium. There was an exhibit of different motorcycle or motor bike. Hmmm.. I'm not that sure whats the correct term for it. The different designs of the bikes were nice. Although I'm not a big fan of this type of vehicles, but I do appreciate the people who are creative in designing their bikes. Cutie huts!

When the whole family went to Davao Crocodile park, we were able to see the different styles of huts being showcased in Tribu Mindanawon (Mindanao Tribes) that depicts the traditional houses of the different and diverse cultures of people inhabiting Davao City.
