Dinner at Mandarin Tea Garden with Siblings and Hubby

My twin and my other siblings came over here in the city of Davao. My twin wanted to buy laptop, a digital camera and cellphone. She wanted hubby to accompany her with buying the laptop because hubby is a computer engineer and he knows about computer specifications and he already researched which brand is good.

After buying everything she wants to buy, she treat us with a dinner at Mandarin Tea Garden. We ordered supreme siomai which I did not eat because I have an allergy with shrimps. We also ordered pancit guisado, beef ampalaya, beef steak and fish fillet. I was the one who consumed almost all the fish fillet. It's very delicious and guilt-free because I know it's not gonna trigger neither me nor my daughter's allergy plus the fact that it's not laden with so much cholesterol.

We also ordered durian shake, my favorite. My niece had her four season juice and fresh fruit salad. Having able to bond with my siblings is a good feeling especially when we are feasting yummy foods in front of us:).

Sharing to you some photos:

Shawarma

I have always wanted to try shawarma. The other day, me and hubby dropped by at Robinson's looking for Keona's milk which was unavailable in other department stores. We saw a foodcart of shawarma but we did not buy anymore because I was full.

Yesterday, on our way home from Mintal, we dropped by at SM to buy Keona's milk because my officemate told me it's available there. After buying groceries, we saw the same foodcart of shawarma and since it was snacks time, we bought shawarma so that we can taste it.

It tasted good, we chose the one with cheese. I like the spicy taste mixed with sauce and some veggies.

The name of the food cart is Leylam shawarma. Here are some of their specialties:

 • beef shawarma
 • beef shawarma with cheese
 • beef shawarma all meat with cheese
 • shawarma rice
 • shawarma rice with egg

I want to taste kabab next time...Have a great weekend friends!

Food tripping is what we usually do during December. I have been hearing about Tita D's Buffet from my workmates. They said the food is great, eat all you can for only Php99.00 excluding drinks. They have been there recently but me and hubby did not go with them because we had a "date" of our own during that time. When I told hubby about it, he right away agreed with me to have a lunch there because he has an overtime (OT) pay anyway.LOL. So it's his treat :).

They also cater and accept functions for weddings, birthdays, etc. They have a space upstairs. We were rally stuffed when we got out of Tita D's:). Tita D's is located at Iñigo St., (formerly Anda St.,) Davao City.

Puto and Dinuguan at Cecils

I have long been craving dinuguan with puto and first thing that come to my mind is Cecils. Last Saturday, our seminar finished early because the organizers and some of the participants who are from Luzon and Visayas, first timers in Davao were having their tour around the city. On my way to Davao Doctors Hospital to visit Mom, that was around 3:30 in the afternoon, just in time for snacks, I went to Cecils Food Snack Inn at Malvar Street. I asked if dinuguan with puto is available because what I know is that they serve it only on MWF (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). I was entertained by a lovely lady and she said it's available but there's no puto. So i said it's alright, I just ordered bread instead of puto. So yummy... I finished the whole bowl!

For those who do not know, Dinuguan or pork blood stew in English is a Filipino savory stew of blood and meat usually stomach, intestines, ears, snout or meat simmered in a rich spicy gravy of pig blood, garlic, chili and vinegar. The term dinuguan comes from the Filipino word dugo which means "blood". It is often served with white rice or Filipino rice called puto (steamed rice cake).

Dinuguan (pork blood stew), iced tea, and bread...isn't it perfect for an afternoon snack?

I finished all of this! takaw ko no :))

Cecils serves a lot of yummy foods aside from dinuguan. They serve sweets like leche flan, chocolate eclair, cream puff, durian pie, fruit pie, pineapple pie, cheese roll, chocolate cake. They also serve short orders like batchoy, luglog, pancit molo, spaghetti, fresh or fried lumpia.

After taking my snacks, I bought 6 pieces of cheese roll for take out because it's Momma and Keona's favorite. oh, by the way, they also accept orders of cakes for all occassions.
